hot flashes???

Yesterday morning while sitting in church at the beautiful Pier Giorgio terazza worshipping with a larger than average group of missionaries and visitors...I felt a trickle of mositure roll down between my shoulder blades....and more beads of moisture on my forehead. At first I thought that this must be the beginning of the infamous hot flashes which I have avoided in life so far...but alas....after talking with others after the service....I realized that they too were suffering from the same affliction. After 4 months of cool, refreshing temperatures (26 daytime and 20 nighttime) ....we could feel the the change in the air....the air was so thick and heavy it felt like you could cut it with a knife....yes.....the humidity has returned. Yikes.

Good bye top sheet and lightweight blanket...summer has arrived. Today the temperature reached 31 for the first time this year and with the humidex...it is currently 46 degrees. Break out the portable fans, or paper ones if necessary and get ready for another 6 months of this wonderful stuff. But....I am not complaining....at least it is not SNOW!
